Bass Law was established by Dondra Bass O’Neal to provide clients in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, and its surrounding areas the benefit of her large firm experience and expertise in a small firm setting.

This allows a focus on the particular needs of each client and the handling of each client’s case with high priority. At Bass Law, we aggressively represent our clients while maintaining the professionalism and integrity that is sometimes lacking in the modern legal profession. Through client feedback, we have a proven record of providing exceptional services, obtaining outstanding results and being readily accessible to our clients.

If you have been injured and it is someone else’s fault, you need an experienced attorney on your side. You may have heard the expression, “Jack of all trades, master of none.” At Bass Law, we recognize that trying to handle too many areas of law leads to mediocrity. Since our firm only handles personal injury cases, Dondra O’Neal has the advantage of being one of the top Savannah personal injury attorneys.

While we sometimes handle other personal injury cases, Bass Law specializes in representing individuals injured in two primary areas of personal injury law: (1) motor vehicle accidents; and (2) crime victims. The types of motor vehicle accidents we handle generally involve injuries or wrongful death from automobile accidents, truck accidents, bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, bus accidents or boating accidents. The crime victims that we represent in civil cases have often been injured in one of three ways: (1) motor vehicle collision with a DUI driver; (2) sexual abuse; or (3) assault. For a crime victim to have a viable civil claim for sexual abuse or assault, the incident generally must have taken place at a commercial property or the perpetrator was someone in a position of power or authority over the victim. In addition to compensation damages which are an element of a general personal injury claim, crime victims having civil claims are often entitled to an award of punitive damages which are used solely to penalize, punish or deter the individual or company against whom the claim is brought.

With over 25 years of legal experience in the personal injury field and having worked not only as an attorney representing both individuals and insurance companies, but also as a receptionist, legal assistant and paralegal, you will find no one more qualified to handle your personal injury or wrongful death case than Dondra Bass O’Neal. For nine years, Mrs. O’Neal worked as an attorney hired by insurance companies to fight against injured persons. That experience gives Mrs. O’Neal an advantage as she now only represents individuals fighting against insurance companies.

At Bass Law, we understand that an injury-causing accident has resulted in not only physical pain and suffering but also stress, anxiety and often the loss of a job for our client. Thus, when we are hired to handle a client’s case, we consider it part of our job to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that accompanies personal injury and wrongful death cases. Thus, while we actively work on your case, we pride ourselves on offering the understanding, compassion and support that you need and will not receive from a larger firm.
We operate our firm as a detail-oriented firm, focused solely on our clients and obtaining the best possible results for them. This means that every case is handled with excellence, no matter how big or small.
We will come to you. Whether you are in the hospital, confined at home or at the home of a loved one, we will come to you to talk with you about your case and how we might help you. We also routinely schedule after-hours appointments to accommodate our clients.

The number one complaint we hear from clients who have dealt with larger law firms is that there is a lack of communication. Sometimes the lack of communication is from the attorney, as there are some firms where a client never even speaks with an attorney a single time during the case. We have also heard from clients that they have dealt with law firms in which they feel shuffled around, as they speak with numerous persons at the firm during the case and often the employee with whom they speak is unfamiliar with the client and his or her case. At Bass Law, Dondra O’Neal stays personally involved in all aspects of your case, and we will communicate with you on a regular basis even if there is no news to report. Taking Your Injury Personally is more than our firm tagline. It means that we empathize with each client and communicate regularly as we want to not only obtain justice for our clients but also reduce the stress that often comes along with suffering a personal injury.

Unfortunately, insurance companies are in the business of paying as little as possible on bodily injury claims. Insurance adjusters are trained to settle claims quickly and cheaply before injured persons hire attorneys. They tell you they are on your side and that they understand how you are feeling. Know this – insurance companies are never on your side! That is why you need the aggressive representation of Bass Law. We deal with insurance companies on a daily basis and recognize that aggressive and assertive tactics are required when fighting for justice for our clients.
Simply stated, clients come first. And that means our focus is solely on obtaining the highest compensation for you for your personal injury or wrongful death case. Here at Bass Law, you will find that we fight tirelessly on your behalf to ensure that you receive the justice you deserve!

Our practice was formed out of a strong desire to help others in their times of need. Our practice specializes in the aggressive representation of injured individuals in all areas of personal injury and wrongful death law throughout Georgia and Florida.
